Responsibilities:

  • Consult with faculty, staff, and students on their IT needs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
  • Maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and copiers  
  • Manage Information Technology Support for Office 365 suite and all department-supported applications, VPN and networking issues, printer, copier, and conference room equipment assistance
  • Communicate with vendors for technology procurement hardware and software, including quotes for computer- and software-related purchases. Always ask IT before purchasing hardware or software because Penn State has contracts with many vendors and may be able to save money

The Ken and Mary Alice Lindquist Department of Nuclear Engineering at Penn State is one of the top ranked nuclear engineering programs in the United States.
