Pierre-Clement Simon - Materials for Nuclear Power Group

Pierre-Clément Simon completed his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering in 2021. With a background in Engineering Science from Ecole Centrale de Lyon (France) and in Applied Mathematics from University Claude Bernard in Lyon, France, he joined Penn State in 2015. His research focused on phase field modeling and quantification of zirconium hydride morphology.

At Penn State, he was also Volunteer assistant coach of the Penn State Varsity Fencing Team, where he enjoys sharing his love for this sport.

At the end of his Ph.D., Pierre-Clément joined the MARMOT and BISON teams at Idaho National Laboratory as a staff computational scientist.
