Jonathan Balog - Materials for Nuclear Power Group
Jonathan Balog is a graduate student pursuing a M.S in Nuclear Engineering at Penn State. He is a dual-degree graduate of Penn State, holding B.S in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, with a minor in Engineering Mechanics. His research interests include the use of additive manufacturing for nuclear reactor and/or deep space applications, specifically examining how additively manufactured parts respond to irradiation.
He is currently the president of the Penn State Lacrosse Student Section and is heavily involved in outreach events through the Penn State student chapter of ANS. In his free time, Jonathan likes to watch/play soccer and lacrosse, participate in outdoor activities, read classic novels, and manage his own stock portfolio.
