Ece Alat - Materials for Nuclear Power Group
Ece Alat is a graduate student pursuing her PhD in Materials Science and Engineering. She received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in the Middle East Technical University (Turkey). She began her graduate studies at Penn State in the fall of 2013.
Her research focuses on advanced accident-tolerant ceramic coatings for Zr-alloy cladding. Coating material characterization involves the application of SEM, TEM, XRD, dilatometer and tensile tests.
