Shivprasad presents at NFIR meeting
Adi Shivprasad presented at the 68th meeting of the Electrical Power Research Institute led forum on Nuclear Fuel Industry Research, which is a consortium of nuclear fuel vendors and utilities, and which sponsors his thesis work. The meeting was held in Halden, Norway, and was concluded with a tour of the Halden Reactor Project. The Halden reactor is an HBWR type reactor and is the premier reactor for research on nuclear fuel, as it has the capability of operating using instrumented fuel rods to monitor power, neutron flux, fuel/cladding temperature, pellet-cladding interaction, radiation-induced deformation of the cladding, etc.
