Group travels to Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Lab for Experiments

Perform X-ray Diffraction and fluorescence experiments on irradiated Zircaloy-2
Adi Shivprasad, Brendan Ensor, and Evrard Lacroix were accompanied by Prof. Motta on their trip to the Advanced Photon Source (APS) in the Argonne National Lab near Chicago, Illinois as they performed X-ray diffraction and fluorescence experiments on irradiated Zircaloy-2. The experiments were led by Adi Shivprasad who will use the results as part of his thesis research. The three graduate students took the opportunity in their free time to visit Millennium Park and see downtown Chicago.
