Muhammet Ayanoglu conducted irradiation experiments with the Intermediate Voltage Electron Microscope(IVEM) at the Argonne National Laboratory in Chicago.

IVEM is a unique facility allowing users to perform in-situ irradiation experiments with a wide variety of different irradiation conditions that enlighten us about material behavior in the nuclear reactor. The purpose of his recent experiments is to investigate the effect of temperature on void kinetics in austenitic stainless steels, which are the candidate materials for the advanced reactors.
