Pierre-Clément Simon receives an Early Career Award at NuMat2018.

Zineb Aly, Evrard Lacroix, and Pierre-Clément Simon presented their research at NuMat 2018 in Seattle, WA, where more than 450 participants from all around the world gathered to share advancements in nuclear materials research.

Zineb presented her work on Simulation of historical experiments related to hydrogen migration and redistribution in Bison, Evrard presented his work on Zirconium hydride nucleation and growth kinetics studied using differential scanning calorimetry and synchrotron radiation diffraction, And Pierre-Clément presented his work on phase field modeling of precipitation of zirconium hydrides in a zirconium matrix. They took advantage of the conference to have dinner with current and former students of Dr. Motta's lab.

At the end of the week, Pierre-Clément Simon was honored to receive the third place early career award, which recognized the quality of his research and his presentation.

Congratulations to all three of them!
