Mechanical & Nuclear Engineering Open Positions

The Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking applicants to fill three open faculty positions that include the following: Position 1 - the William E. Diefenderfer Chair in Mechanical Engineering; Position 2 - Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering; and Position 3- Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Nuclear Engineering. The Department is home to 48 faculty, 250 graduate students, and 750 undergraduate students. The vibrant department conducts in excess of $27M in annual research expenditures while having a strong commitment to teaching. The Mechanical Engineering and Nuclear Engineering Programs each offer the full range of undergraduate and graduate degrees in their respective fields. Nominations and applications will be considered until the positions are filled. Screening of the applicants will begin on December 1, 2009.
